Our coaches are students of a vibrant new field: coaching psychology. Coaching psychology, in part, is the relational vehicle for implementing the tenets of positive psychology, a field focused on the scientific study of happiness and peak performance.
Our coaches have a wide variety of experience including: coaching HS football, track and softball; coaching youth and travel teams in football, softball and track; Certified Fitness Training certification; Organizational Behavior, Behavior Action Plans (BAPs), Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and team building certification and training. |

| David Valenzuela |
Coach V has over 25 years of coaching and training athletes at the HS, travel team and youth levels. He has coached numerous championship teams and several athletes who have gone on to receive CIF and team awards. He has trained individual athlete’s looking to maximize their performance at recruiting camps and those looking to reach their peak potential in their respective sport. Additionally he has worked with teams looking to get the edge on their competition through conditioning, speed, quickness, agility and strength training.
Coach V believes the key is not getting the athletes to work hard, but getting the athletes to ENJOY working hard. That is why he has incorporated tools he has perfected over 25 years of leading high performing teams in the corporate world. Coach V has his MBA from the University of Southern California and has studied organizational behavior, human behavior and psychology and is applying that learning to connect with athletes so they ENJOY their sport for years. Coach V was honored by the Riverside Sports Hall of Fame in 2008 after winning back to back conference championships and positively impacting the youth of Riverside Pop Warner (Riverside now has three championships in its 38 year history). |

| Mychal Valenzuela
|
Mychal is certified as a Fitness Trainer by the International Fitness Professionals Association. He also holds a certificate of training in Sports Therapy and Fitness and participated in a sports internship where he served as an athletic trainer. Mychal is currently the Certified Fitness Trainer and department head at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Upland, Ca.
Mychal has been training individual athletes and teams while attending HS where he participated in football and baseball. He has worked with athletes participating in football, baseball, softball, water polo, basketball and soccer. He is also experienced to train athletes in a number of sports and many positions. Mychal is currently an active rock climber enjoying bouldering and repelling. He enjoys all outdoor sports. |
